Ive found this app most help when setting up a new aquarium and keeping my fish healthily.
Very good app. Has all my fish but one which is impressive trust me just dont put the word fish in its search.
I have a cichlid tank. Whenever I go to the fish store I search up the fish I am interested in buying. I add the fish to "my aquarium" and run a compatibility report. The report tells you if the fishes in your tank are compatible with each other in terms of aggression, pH level, hardness, etc. Very cool.
Has a lot of useful information but needs to have more species of cichlids, it was not worth the money in my opinion, wish there was a trial version I could of looked at before purchasing
Needs more species. Not worth the money until they add A LOT more species and info. Description of how they act would be nice instead of their breeding habits only.
This app is awesome. I do wish it had shrimp and snails as well though.
Very disappointed with this app. It is very difficult to use. Search often wont work! I had hoped this app would help me take care of my tank but I cant even add a simple fish like plecostomus.
After the last update, =HIGHLY=RECOMMENDED=
This app is ok for your in-home pet fish in a small tank. It does not address what I was looking for, namely help with raising food fish. It has no data at all on species such as tilapia or perch. If you look up catfish, it lists a pile of the miniature ones, but no mention of channel catfish, which are large and used for food. Tank size has a limit of 1000 liters. Temperature is listed in degrees centigrade; you will have to convert to Fahrenheit manually.
Comes is very handy as a reference!!!!
Good start. Data base very informative and growing. Virtual tank is a good idea especially the compatibility test, which factors in fish behavior, and necessary water conditions. Also the Health section is outstanding with many illustrations... App does not seem to support iCloud communications with other devises as similar apps due. The same info (ex. a virtual tank) created the iPhone doe not appear in the copy of the app on the iPad after downloading from the purchased section. The "News Center" once opened, doesnt have a way to close it except to close the entire App and restart. Also recommend Lab results enable two places right of the decimal point vice one. Yes I have a digital PH meter....
Solid app, quite a bit of diversity in the fish selection. Id really like to see this app expand into fresh water invertebrates.
